Founders of Science Park (SP) are 5 central universities and institutes of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The activity of the SP includes advancement and commercialization of smart R&D and technology projects in the field of applied sciences. Major projects carried out in the park dedicated development in the chemical industry, nanotechnology, renewable energy, experimental medicine, microelectronics and others. Science Park also carries out the development and realization of marketing complex; determination of potential customers and formation of clients’ base; determination of potential partners for scientific and technical cooperation: the provision of favorable starting conditions for scholars, postgraduate students, students and graduates planning to open their own spin-off companies; organization and arrangement of scientific and technical events; design development and production of advertisement and information products. Every year more than 60 researchers and engineers are involved in SP activity.
Researches from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and Palladin Institute of Biochemistry NAS of Ukraine are involved into UNAT project of SP.

Current activities in the frame of UNAT:

- Chemical synthesis (solvothermal carbonization, electrochemical etching) and surface chemistry analysis of organic carbon-based nanomaterials and nanohybrides (NHs).
- In-vitro neurotoxicity studies and in-vivo physiological toxicity of NHs
- Determination of the most appropriate conditions of electromagnetic-based treatments for efficient blocking of tumour development.
- The studying of different operation principles and key mechanisms for application of the quantum dots in bioimaging for living cell (photoacoustic, photoelectrical, photoluminescent, microscopy).

Principal Investigator:

VSProf. Valeriy Skryshevskyy is Head of Department of Nanophysics of Condensed Matter, Institute of High Technologies and Head of Department of Nanotechnology in SP. He has published 4 books, 5 chapters in collective monographs, over 200 papers in peer-review journals and conferences, h-index (Scopus) is 20 and he filed 12 patents. In 2002-2003 he worked half year in Germany as a visiting scientist (Technical University, Muenchen, and Hahn-Meitner Institute, Berlin), and two years during 2003-2011 as visiting professor in France (Ecole Centrale and INSA, Lyon). He was supervisor of 9 defended PhD thesis. He was a PI or coordinator of several scientific Projects (NATO, INTAS, STCU, MSCA-RISE, TEMPUS, ERASMUS+ and others). He is the Winner of the State Prize in Science and Technology of Ukraine (2012), The State Award of the Ukraine: Merited Figure of Science and Technology of Ukraine (2016). Member of Expert Council “Science in Universities” at Ministry of Science and Education of Ukraine.

Current research interests are focused on technology and research in the field of nano-semiconductors, its application in optoelectronics,  chemical and biosensors, bioimaging, theranostics.
